Grounding, also known as earthing, is the practice of making direct contact with the Earth's natural surface, typically by walking barefoot on soil, grass or sand. Many people choose grounding as part of their daily wellness routine, and research into its potential effects is ongoing.

Modern lifestyles can reduce the amount of time we spend in direct contact with natural surfaces. Rubber-soled footwear, synthetic flooring and indoor environments often create a barrier between our feet and the ground.

The CTRNE Connect Grounding Sneaker is designed for people who want to practise grounding without going barefoot. Unlike conventional footwear, it incorporates conductive materials intended to help maintain contact with the ground when worn on suitable natural surfaces.

By combining contemporary design with conductive technology, CTRNE Connect offers an alternative way for grounding enthusiasts to stay connected to the Earth while enjoying the comfort and protection of everyday footwear.

Most traditional sneakers use thick rubber soles, which are highly insulating. As a result, they are generally not designed to provide conductive contact with the ground.

CTRNE Connect Grounding Sneakers are intentionally designed with conductive components that support contact with natural surfaces while maintaining the comfort and protection of everyday footwear. Features include:
- Conductive components integrated into the sole
- Materials selected to support conductivity within the footwear
- A design that promotes natural foot movement

CTRNE Connect brings together performance, comfort and contemporary design, so you don't have to choose between style and your grounding routine.

Unlike going barefoot, grounding sneakers allow you to:
- Stay protected on uneven terrain
- Enjoy support during longer walks
- Incorporate grounding into your everyday routine
- Wear grounding footwear in a wider range of environments

CTRNE's mission is to make grounding more practical for everyday life, helping more people enjoy the experience beyond occasional barefoot walks.

For people who choose to practise grounding through footwear, the shoe needs to incorporate conductive materials. Many standard shoes use thick insulating soles and are not designed with this purpose in mind.

CTRNE Connect is specifically designed with conductive components intended to support contact with the Earth's surface when worn on suitable natural terrain.

Suitable surfaces include:
- Soil
- Grass
- Sand
- Unsealed concrete

Grounding footwear is generally intended for use on natural or other conductive surfaces. Insulating surfaces such as asphalt, rubber mats and most synthetic flooring may reduce the conductivity of the footwear.

CTRNE Connect is designed for people who want to incorporate grounding into their everyday routine, including:
- People who spend much of their day indoors
- Those interested in natural wellness practices
- Fitness and outdoor enthusiasts
- Individuals exploring biohacking and lifestyle optimisation
- Anyone looking for a practical alternative to barefoot grounding

Modern lifestyles often mean we spend less time in direct contact with natural surfaces. CTRNE Connect is designed with conductive components to support grounding on suitable natural terrain while fitting seamlessly into everyday life.

There's no need to change your routine, simply wear your grounding footwear as part of your day.

CTRNE Connect is especially suited to:
- Urban professionals who rarely have the opportunity to walk barefoot
